Road Safety Induction

is an introductory workshop which overviews road safety issues for young children and highlights the importance of road safety education.  It outlines the role of the Program and provides ideas for using the Kids & Traffic Kit effectively in everyday programming plus strategies for involving families in road safety education.

Road Safety: Ideas for Programming

is a workshop designed to help children's services develop innovative road safety ideas that are tailored to the needs of the service using a learning environment approach to long term planning.
This workshop replaces Taking it Further.

Getting it into Print

is a workshop which provides information and skills for those responsible for policy development (including children's services staff and parents) which enable them to develop a road safety education policy appropriate to the individual needs of their service.

Working with Families

is a workshop which outlines the key role families play in road safety education.  The workshop explores ways of developing road safety partnerships with families.

Road Safety Starting with the Under 3s

is a workshop which considers child development, particularly for the 0-3's age group, and consequent implications for road safety.  The workshop also explores strategies for building partnerships with families and incorporating this perspective in planning for road safety education within infant and toddler programs.

Road Safety for Family Day Care

is a workshop which is specifically designed for Family Day Care carers and includes opportunities to review and discuss road safety  education issues relevant to them.  The workshop reviews strategies for building partnerships with families and ideas for programming for road safety education.

All workshops are practical and interactive.
Participation at selected workshops may entitle children's services to free resources.
All participants receive a certificate.
